Speaker – Marisa Dery
Topic – Voice Comparison and Deepfakes
Abstract
There is a lot of confusion about voice comparison and its process. The presence of Deepfakes in audio and video make things even more problematic. In this presentation I will not only show you the basic steps that are taken when doing a voice comparison test, but a simple technique to start training yourself at being a bit more observant when you suspect that what you are seeing, and hearing may not be real. For that segment I will use the infamous Jordan Peele video of his impersonation of former US President Obama.
