Abstract
Identifying fonts in a questioned document can be useful when either the font usage is inconsistent in some unexpected way (possibly due to inserted or replaced text), or the font was simply not yet available as of the purported date of document. Learn about the complex release histories for Calibri and the new Microsoft Office default font, Aptos. Point size can be important when a document (or element of a document) has a legally required point size to be effective/binding. Learn why identifying the font is critical to getting an exact point size, and why you need to beware the “E” and scales on printers’ rulers. Plus a case study!
